Jeannie is an award winning designer and stylist with twenty-five years experience as a freelance designer. She is the Head of Costume Design and Assistant Professor at Western Illinois University. She has an MFA in Costume Design from San Diego State University and credits include productions for the San Diego Repertory Theatre, Diversionary Theatre (she won a Patte award for Best Costume Design), The Guthrie Lab, Crossroads Theater, Mixed Blood Theatre, Moxie Theatre,Youth Theatre Northwest, Park Square Theatre, and Shakespeare in the Park to name a few. She was the costume design assistant to Paul Tazewell for the musical “Memphis”. She was an invited guest speaker at The Costume Colloquium in Florence, Italy. She has taught at University of San Diego, University of California Irvine, San Diego State University, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, City College, The Art Institute of San Diego, The Art Institute of Minneapolis, and Palomar College. Jeannie also worked with the graduate program at The University of California San Diego as an advisor and mentor. She has worked at The La Jolla Playhouse on many Broadway tours as a design assistant, an assistant shop manager, and crafts artisan.

She is currently writing an exciting new design book that will be published by Routledge in 2022.
